how do I connect an apple tv box to an acer tab/laptop

my laptop wont recognise the hdmi port or the usb or the dsl port when trying to connect the apple tv box

Unless I am mistaken, that is because the HDMI port on the Apple TV box is an output port, like on your laptop.
