Well, the obvious answer is via HDMI.

Dell doesn't have HDMI? A Display Port, A DVI port, A Thunderbolt port, A USB-C port will also work, just need the proper converter cable.

you need to connect it to one of the HDMI ports on your TV

If you have a problem getting the laptop and TV to handshake. Try changing the order you boot the laptop and select the HDMI input you have it connected to. I would suggest you set the TV as a 2nd display and set the resolution to match the TV.
