Question how do i connect my dell monitor( that doesn't have a hdmi port) to chromecast

hi so i have a vga to hdmi converter and vga cable and chromecast and all but my dell monitor just says entering power pode and and that there isnt signal. someone pls help

What exact converter do you have? They are one way only and VGA to HDMI is not the same as HDMI to VGA. If your monitor is VGA only you need an HDMI (from the chromecast) to VGA (on the monitor). You may be better off just getting a monitor with HDMI inputs, they are not much more than a proper converter.

There would also be an issue with sound unless the adapter or chromecast provides that separately somehow.
