Solved! How do I connect my TCL 70" Smart TV to my Marantz SR4200 amp to get sound from the TV please?

I have a new TCL 70C4US Smart TV. I have connected the HDMI cable to HDMI 2 which appears to be the ARC connection. How do I now get my Marantz amp to play the TV sound? Any ideas anyone? Any suggestions gratefully accepted - thanks in advance!

Ur post is not clear, but OK I will assume you have connected HDMI attaching both pieces. If both pieces are ARC capable, it should simply work.

No HDMI on the SR4200.

Use optical from the source (cable box or BR/DVD player).

Thanks to all for your advice! I have now connected optical for sound. I was trying to avoid another cable to keep tidy, but it works, and that's the main thing!
