How do I connect sky to TV threw my DVD home theatre system

I can get surround if I put DVD on but nothing if just watching sky ???

You will need to connect either the sky box or TV to the HTiB. What connections you use will depend on the sky box, TV and HTiB. Can be more specific if you can give us more info.
