I have just purchased a laptop. I understood it has an inbuilt wireless. How do I know my Security Key from Bigponds?

The security key is maintained by whomever owns the router or access point you want to use to get online. If you did not set it up, you will need to ask the people who did for permission to use their connection. If granted, they will give you the security key.

where is the security key located

It is located at the back of the router. It will be indicated with the prefix PSK: the numbers and the letters must be entered exactly as they appears. Good luck.
