How do I find out how much credit I have on my phone?

I have an Alcatel Onetouch 1016G phone but I cannot find how to check my credit.

Pull out the SIM and the service provider probably has their logo or name on it. Pull up their number from the internet to check your "number to call for a topup" and ring that or SMS from the fone. Follow the prompts.
