Looking to get my machine back at normal. To get my Acer Aspire E 15 to stop hibernating.

Solution
Go into c:\windows\system32 and right click on the file cmd.exe then select RunAs Administrator.

In the black Command form that shows up, at the >prompt, type
powercfg hibernate off
and hit the Enter key.

Restart the computer and you won't be bothered by it again.

Solution
You can also go into the Control Panel and under Power Options, select your current power plan and change when your laptop sleeps, hibernates, etc.

That used to work, Arnie, but I think it was removed when Windows 7 came along. I certainly can't find it in Windows 10 and so many systems have died in hibernation, it's a pain in the rear.
