I have a moto g stylus 5g and I want to get rid of Glance feature (the screen that shows notifications when the phone is locked). I have followed all of the suggestions on this sight and on other sights, but it keeps coming back. First, I was able to uninstall it from the APPs section in settings. Then it came back. I went into Google Play and uninstalled it but now it's back. This time it is hidden someplace on the phone and I can't find it. I was told to go to Wallpaper to disable it, but I can't locate it there. I know that it has installed itself to my phone again because first my phone froze up and then it popped up stating that it was ready for me to start using. Also, if I look in Google Play it states that it is installed on my phone but there is nothing in Google Play now to uninstall it. I tried to find it in the System Apps, under another name but I can't find the damn thing and Googling for information on where to find it has done me no good either. This think is a pain and the very definition of Malware. Can anyone help me?

To disable or remove the Glance lock screen on a Motorola phone, navigate to Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Glance for Moto and toggle it off.

Because Glance is a system app, it cannot be fully uninstalled through standard methods, but it can be disabled to prevent it from running.

Multiple threads on various platforms confirm this.

For example:

This info might be helpful as well:

Alternative Methods to Remove/Disable Glance:

Via Apps Menu: Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps, find "Glance," and select Disable.
Via Lock Screen Settings: Navigate to Settings > Display > Lock Screen and turn off Glance for Moto.
Turn off Background Usage: In the app info screen for Glance, disable background data and restricted mobile data to stop it from running.
Force Stop: In Settings > Apps, select Glance and tap "Force Stop".

Note: After system updates, you may need to re-disable the app as it can sometimes re-enable itself.
