How do i get to the otg function on my lg g stylo to run a mini usb fan?

I have a mini sub fan but I can't get it to work on my lg g style android phone.

It is really dependent on the phone. Some phones don't allow for it. Now I know they can/should work on a G3 and a G4, but you only said G. Which actual version is yours?

His phone is an LG G Stylo.
Depending on the carrier, your phone might be missing a few features. I have an LG G Stylo by Boost Mobile, and it does not have MHL, Miracast, NFC, or OTG. You also cannot root the Boost Mobile variant, because you cannot access fastboot. Next time I get another one, I will get a different carrier.
