Add smarts to the TV, via a CHROMESTICK I think will do it.

I use Roku. Then get the Rokify or ServerCast app. I can play downloaded content or any video from a website on my TV which is a 2010 Vizio. Also dowload a Roku remote app and you can put away your physical remote. With the phone remote you don't have to worry about pointing at Roku device.
