How do i transfer pictures from a deactivated old cell phone with no sd card to either my tablet or new phone?

I have an old deactivated cell phone with no sd card and wish to transwer my pictures.

Hook it up with WiFi and use cloud storage to move the data or connect it to a computer and do the same with copying the files out manually through the data storage you will see on the system as a drive letter.
