how do i unlock my IBM ThinkPad R 51

when I turn on my IBM ThinkPad are 51 the screen shows a lock and a flashing bar to type in password how can I bypass this

You put in the correct password, thats the only way to bypass it. No on here is going to assist you in bypassing someone elses security.
