How do i unmute my hp computer?

Hello,
My HP Compaq nc6320 laptop is stuck on mute. I am 100% not a computer girl so need some help here. I did uninstall a programme as the computer had no dosc space left, could that be the problem? It was a programme that had not been used since 2008 so I naively thought it would be okay :0(

'stuck on mute'. As in the mute switch is broke? Or you don't know the mute switch?
I suppose you could have deleted the sound/audio stuff.

You can also try this: No sound in Windows
