Solved! How do i update my 32 gb Laptop

My Hp Stream 14 wont allow me to install updates to my laptop because of the limited space i have.Even if take space off of it its still not enough. I do have a external hardrive can that do something?

Would you be able to pass on the SKU to your laptop? You could follow this article and clear the Download folder for your updates.

You can offload some data to your external, yes. You can also remove programs/apps you don't frequent.

32GB, though? That's the size of your hard drive? Which make and model laptop do you have?

My hardrive is 1tb. My laptop is a Hp stream 14

I have an Asus Transformer with a simlar size (useless) drive.

1. Check your pagefile settings. Turn it way down.
2. Check your hibernation. Turn it OFF https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/920730/how-to-disable-and-re-enable-hibernation-on-a-computer-that-is-running

3. You may need to (I have to) create a Win 10 USB install, boot from that, and do a full reinstall...."Keep Everything".
This does an actual reinstall, but does not (usually) screw up your current data and applications.

32GB was typical on little netbooks from a couple years ago.
My Asus Transformer T100T has an eMMC drive of that size.

You're saying you've got a 1TB hard drive, but what size is your system partition? The C:\ drive to be specific.
