Solved! How do you get lsptop to show the 5ghz connection on netgear n600

Hello,
how do i get my laptop to detect the 5ghz connection, my ipad 2 is the only thing that picks up the 5ghz network thats being broadcasted overe my home network

The wireless card in your laptop has to be wirless n in order to pick up the higher frequency and if it is and you don't have any other devices that will connect to the lower frequency then you have to go into the settings of the router and either diable the lower or set the laptop to acess the higher .
