" HOW TO START GETTING MY EMAIL FROM THE MAIN PC "
You're MainPC is not the source for emails, can view them if you set up a Home network, But then dought that is what you want to do.

Need to provide more info.
.. what Operating system???
.. What email client??

.. What, or how do you want it to function??
For Example, I have Cox as a Internet provider so I use them as a email host. I have Outlook as my email client for Windows 7. When I open outlook, it down loads my email and deletes it from their download server.
On My laptop, or ANY OTHER compouter I can log into webmail and look at ANY emails that have NOT been down loaded to my PC.
.. In this case, You Can NOT view email that has been down loaded to the mainPC without either a a Home network set up and sharing allowed. From a Remote location need a VPN service.

This is NOT the case if using a "cloud" service as All your inbox/deleted/ect would be available. Examples of clould service - Windows Live mail, Yahoo, ect.
