I am looking at buying a laptop for University and am thinking of taking the opportunity to sell my PC to get a very powerful laptop. I have found one at PC Specialist but I am not knowledgeable enough to know if it is a good deal. Any help you could give would be greatly apreciated
The Laptop:
Screen: 17.3" full HD (1920x1080)
Processor: Intel Core i7 Quad core 6700HQ (2.6GHz, 3.5 GHz turbo)
RAM: 8GB HyperXimpact 2133MHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 1060 - 6GB GDDR5 video ram - DirectX 12.1 G-SYNC
Memory: 1TB
240GB SSD (559MB/sR, 514MB/sW)
- Standard Thermal Paste
- Wireless abilities
- 2X Defiance Series Batteries
- Windows 10 Home (64 bit)
- 3 Year warranty
- 2.5 weeks build and delivery

This all comes to £1,405.00 although I may be able to get it for £1,170.00. Is this build worth the price (either price) and is it worth it?

It's probably as good of a price for that CPU and video card with a SSD as you are likely to find.
1060 is a good mid range video card to get now. It will handle all new games at medium settings or higher and will be a good card for several years.
