Star Trek (2009) looks better off Amazon than Itunes when streaming. My TV supports HDR / HDR+. The Itunes source is Dolby Vision, the Amazon source is HDR,. I understand my TV doesn't support Dolby Vision, so I'm trying to understand and avoid the caveats of the format war and get the best picture when buying or renting 4k video, particularly a tile that is Dolby Vision.

Some of the questions I have are whether any devices can bridge the HDR format war, ie a 4k Blu-ray player that supports HDR / HDR+ and convert a Dolby Vision source to HDR or HDR plus. If a title lists Dolby Vision, is it exclusively Dolby Vision? Should I look only look for titles on streaming sources that are proponents of the HDR / HDR+ format, such as Amazon?

Thanks
