Solved! How long disconnected to router

Hello,my name is jack yes i have a laptop. i am going out of town and i would like to know how long i can stay disconnected. Also i have skype and we would like to use this as well. My son don't have a skype to his computer

How long you can stay disconnected from your home router? As long as you want - it won't care.

If your son has access to the internet and a computer mic & speakers (or headset) he can install Skype and you two can voice chat over Skype. If he has a webcam you'll be set to video chat.
