not the same thing. usually data and voice/text are carried over separate networks and are treated separately. your plan includes so many minutes, so many texts and then so much data all independent of the other.

and i can't say i've seen any plan that was not unlimited call/texts in a long time other than the tracphone cheap plans that are not unlimited.

what company are you looking at that you are confused with what the plan offers? we can help decipher it for you if you can link to the plan in question

It's the end of the month and I have 30 gigabytes left on my cell phone. How many talk minutes is that?

If its a smartphone, and id assume that it is, you could probably use something like text free or text plus to use that data as talk-time.
