How much could i get for a ibuypower battalion D900f

I have had an ibuypower battalion 101 D900f for about 2 years and its starting to become outdated and slow, and has also been having some heating issuses, so i was thinking of selling it and building a new desktop. First of all, how much do you thing i could get for the machine considering it was $2600 new and is still in great condition? Also, do you think it is a good idea to go with the desktop?

Look on Ebay and see what other similar spec'd laptops are going for there.
How much does a new laptop cost with the nearly the same specs?

Heating issues? Have you cleaned the laptop recently?

You can always get a better gaming experience one a desktop, and get it for less.

Ya i clean out all the heat syncs and fans regularly, its just having a harder time keeping up with the load of modern software and games. Ill look around on ebay though. Thanks.
