I have a Asus N53SV laptop with 8gb ram, Intel i5 2430M @ 2.40 GHZ, win 7 x 64, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M, a Blueray drive, and a 640 GB hard drive. I'm wanting to buy part to build a gaming desktop and I just want to sell this laptop to help ease the burden. Here's a link on newegg to what I got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230198 pretty much the same, just with the extra 2gb mem.

Also, right now I'm getting cheaper parts for a mid gaming desktop ($700 range), when i get more money and want to upgrade parts, where would be the best place to sell the old ones to get the most return profit?

Around £400/$600 ballpark figure with 8Gb RAM. Remember they take 10% of the sale price, so best sold locally if possible. As for your parts, Ebay the best market place as few folk are looking for parts in local advertisers...
