How much RAM would an old Samsung Notebook have?

I have an old Samsung notebook, and was planning on downloading a new OS for it. Since it's old, I can't find the specific model online. It's a 2009-2010 model. Can anyone help me?

Somewhere between 4 and 16 and some multiple of 2.

Go start -> Run and type dxdiag and hit Enter.
On the first screen (the 'system' screen) it will list it under "Memory"
