How to block update notification

I have downloaded 'last day on Earth's game(mod),when after playing few hours it says update to new version from play store. I tried to update it but there is only 'uninstall' and 'open' option. I tried to open the game but I couldn't always says update to the latest version. Is there a way to block that notification. I unchecked notification from settings but didn't worked. My device is rooted and busy box installed.

Try going into your phones Settings, then Applications.
Click on the name of the game and in the Notifications section, change it to block.
