How to Choose Which Apps to Auto-Run on Login on the MacBook Pro

Every MacBook user has a pattern, and one of prominent nodes of their user patterns are the apps which they open as soon as logging into their system. Most people open their mails, others open their professional applications, some even launch a game. But what is common between all these people is that they all open the same things every time they log in. Wouldn’t it be great if these apps could automatically start-up on the login? The people at Apple thought so too, and hence they came up with an auto-run option for apps which automatically launches an app upon log in.
Want this configuration in your MacBook Pro as well? Follow the steps below:

Step 1
Go to the menu at the bottom of your screen and select ‘System Preferences’.

Step 2
Click on the ‘Users & Groups’ tab.

Step 3
Now, select the ‘Login items’.

Step 4
At the bottom left of the dialog box which appears there will be a 'Lock icon' , click on it and the system will ask for your administrator password, enter it.

Step 4
Click on the ‘+’ sign in the same dialog box.

Step 5
A list of all available applications will be presented to you from and you can choose the ones you want to auto-start on login.

Step 6
After selecting the apps click on the ‘Add’ button and these apps should now auto start when you log in to your MacBook.

In case you have selected an app which you do not want to auto-start or if there is a preconfigured app which auto-starts, you can disable it on step 5 by unticking the said app(s). You can always come back and add it back to the list again. Keep in mind that the administrator password will be required each time.
