how to connect 2 bluetooth speakers as stereo

2 identical JBL Pulse 3 Bluetooth speakers
1 stereo device (iPad, iPod, MacBook Air, iPhone, &c)

want 1 to play left channel, the other right channel

why is this so difficult? It works seamlessly for my Bose Bluetooth headphones...

using iTunes and the ><+ button, they are playing mono.....I checked using some
music that has lots of stereo experimentation, and it is clearly mono. Very disappointed.

Why else did I buy two....?

Did you use the "JBL Connect" app for the stereo setup feature ?

I think that the JBL Connect+ app can do that for your speakers.

if you're connecting to them via mobile phone it's as easy as pushing a button in jbl connect app, but if you wanna use them on pc or mac it's really hard.

when you connect them to your mobile phone and make them play as stereo you can connect to another source then via bluetooth or aux cable and for some second they will properly play stereo but then they will go into party mode and you have a set of stereo speakers that play stereo internally. you can make them play in stereo mode with some diy cable converting(3.5 mm jack to rca and back to 3.5 mm) but then again what is the point of having wireless speakers.
