how to connect a laptop with a vga to a projector vga

i connect my laptop vga port to an epson vga port butb it not displaying so what shpould i do

Check that the projector has the VGA input selected, then hold the start key (the one with the windows flag) and press "P" a few times to enable display cloning or expanding the desktop.
