How to Connect an Android Device to Car Speakers

One of the benefits of having a Smartphone that can store music is that when you get into your car you can forego the radio, plug in your phone, and listen to whatever you want. The easiest way to do this is through Bluetooth in your car.

Step 1
Just about every new car has Bluetooth capabilities which allow you to sync your stereo system and your phone together. All Android smartphones have Bluetooth, which make it easy to get connected. First you must activate Bluetooth in your car – you should have a manual that came with your stereo system that will explain how to do this if you don’t know how.

Step 2
Once your Bluetooth is on you should see a list of devices that you can connect to. If you don’t see your phone it’s because your Android Bluetooth is not on.

Step 3
Go into the phone’s Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth Settings. Turn your Bluetooth option on and wait for a screen to pop up that shows you other Bluetooth devices you can connect with. Your car stereo should show up and when it does you select that to link the two. You’re done!

If your car doesn't have Bluetooth capabilities, you can look into cables or adapters that will fit into your headphone jack.

Recap
Hooking your Android up to your car’s stereo using Bluetooth is the easiest way to play music from your phone through your car speakers. It doesn’t require any cords and once you do it the first time the Bluetooth automatically syncs the devices whenever they are near each other. Just activate the Bluetooth in your car and in your phone, connect them, and you are good to go.
