Both TV and your projector are "output devices", you cannot connect them together. If you get TV from e.g. cable box or satelite box, then connect the projector to that box.
The TV does not connect to your projector. What is the video source of the TV? How is your TV connected to that? You'll want to connect the projector to the same video source.

When I connect the cable box to projector with hdmi cable, I get both picture and sound coming from projector. I want to get sound to come out of my stero speakers. So I connect red and white plugs from stero to projection, but sound still comes from projector.
I am assuming that the projector is output only and that imwouldmhave to connect cable box to stero amplifier and then to projector?..
If that is correct, my stero amplifier doesn't have an hdmi input so will I lose thehindef picture if im using only co ax plugs?
