Would love a possible answer to this
Just used the advice from Americanaudiofile. It works! Thank you so much!
We purchased ……..
1 A USB powered optical audio splitter. We plugged it’s USB into the back of the TV( we have 3 USB plugs on the TV)
Also purchased……
2 A 3.5mm Toslink to Toslink lead (1 metre was the shortest we could find), and plugged it into the TV optical Audio out and the other into the splitter box (in).
*Now you’ll need a short HDMI to Toslink adapter, ours came with the TV.
We disconnected the Sonos sound bar from the TVs HDMI-ARC socket, then connected it to the HDMI end of the adapter, and then plugged Toslink end into the splitter (out).
*Next, plug the Phonak transmitter Toslink to the other splitter (out) socket. Also connect the transmitter to USB power on the TV or use the wall socket plug provided.
*Power ‘on’the TV.
*Turn on the splitter box- it probably has an on/ off switch.
BINGO! Connect your Bluetooth hearing device to the transmitter!
