how to connect laptop to home theater system just for sound? what all things do i need and how should i set it up. please can some one help with this. I have been looking all over the internet and cannot find a specific answers!

To be specific we would need the make and model number of your laptop and HTS.
In general your laptop headphone out would connect to the analog aux input on your HTS.
