How to connect old sony receiver and dvd player with composite connections to new sony smart tv

The remote doesn't recognize them. They are connected to the composite site on the back of the tv as shown in online manual.

New TV most likely has HDMI and maybe Component Inputs (4 RCA cables). You need a composite to HDMI or composite to component adapter, it will look like crap.
