If your LG is like mine it will have a digital optical out port for connecting to a speaker system. Another way of doing it is to have a speaker setup that has several HDMI inputs for things like Blu Ray Players and Satellite Receivers and an HDMI output that goes to the TV. It is very hard to accommodate the older AVI and analog connection standards with the later digital technologies.
