As far as I'm aware, the iPad only has a lightning port. This does not output audio, so any amplifier/speaker would need to have built-in Bluetooth or Wireless to enable pairing with the iPad.

It can't be done with wires, not for an iPad.

An Apple Lighting AV adapter would give you an HDMI output. An HDMI audio extractor could give you an analog audio output for the mixer.

I am not an iStuff user, but I am pretty sure older iPad's do have standard 3.5mm headphones output.
OTOH - there are simpler methods to get audio out of Lighting-only iDevice - Lightning to audio adapter
