How to connect the laptop without VGA?

how am i going to connect my laptop without the VGA? i thought every laptop should have? now how am i going to connect to projector some other way?

It may help if you list what model and brand laptop you have. Many new laptops do not have VGA ports, they had some form of Display Port or HDMI now.
