How to connect your laptop to your tower

Hello,
I have just got out of the army and am having problems with the computer that I ordered. I built my tower with the video card that was susposed to keep me in touch with my batallion in Iraq. well there is not a cd rom drive in my tower like I asked and now I eed to use mylaptops cd drive to install the cd for my vid card. can someone please help me by either telling me that it is hopless or how to do it?

Not possible.

Why can't you just download the video card drivers on the desktop and install them that way? If you can't boot into Windows, you can't install from a CD anyway, because driver CDs aren't bootable (typically only operating system CDs are bootable).

A CD/DVD burner is like $20 and you can pick them up almost anywhere.

And you should be able to install your video card drivers as long as you're connected to the internet.

Install the video card. Power on and boot up - Windows should find 'New Hardware' and will likely have a driver it can use.

You can either visit AMD or Nvidia to get an updated driver or you can let Windows try and find one.

copy from cd to flash drive...but the drivers on the cd are probably out of date..so I would just download the latestfrom nvidia or amd
