How to Embed OneDrive Files into a Website

If you have a website or a blog, you may want to use some of your OneDrive files on your page to enhance it with videos, text or photos. OneDrive, which is Microsoft’s file-storing software, allows you to embed files into your website fairly easily within the app. All you need to do is retrieve a code to place into your website or blog.

Step 1: Sign into the OneDrive website with your Microsoft account. Search for the file or files you want to embed into your website.

Step 2: Select the check box in the upper right corner of the file in order to select it. Select only one file at a time so you do not jumble up the website code.

Step 3: Click “Embed” at the top of the page. This will allow you to get a code. Then, click “Generate.”

Step 4: OneDrive will display a code you can use for your website or blog. Copy that code and navigate to your website to upload it.

Recap: If you want a few files to be embedded into your website, it will be easier to just embed them individually. That way, the code won’t be jumbled and will still work. Whether you use WordPress or a specific domain, it should be fairly simple to paste the code into your website. Keep the OneDrive tab open in case you lose the code so you can easily retrieve it again and continue pasting your files from OneDrive in the future.
