How to extend USB headset to use on PS4 from couch

As the titles says. I have a Plantronics gamecon 780 USB. I would like to use this with the PS4 but it's too far from my couch. Can I run a USB extender wire to connect this headset to my PS4?

Yeah.
Make sure that the headset actually works with the PS4 though
