How to find out if Laptop is using dedicated GPU?

How do I know if my laptop is using it's dedicated gpu as I do not see it in the performance tab of the task manager?

Run a benchmark like PassMark or 3Dmark, compare it to benchmarks for your video card. If it's about the same, card is being used.

Some laptops have a tell, such as an LED turning on or changing color. You can also see the current GPU in use by opening some system information programs; the primary GPU listed should change depending on which one is in use.
