■ Does it only happen if you try to use the remote, or does it also fail to turn on when you hit the Power button on the TV itself?
■ Have you tried unplugging the power cord & reconnecting it?
■ Have you tried other outlets on the power strip/surge protector or on the wall to eliminate a bad outlet?
■ Did you have any recent power surges/outages that might have affected the TV and other devices?
If this is a recent purchase, I would strongly recommend that you return it to the store for a replacement/refund. If it's not a recent purchase, & the troubleshooting steps don't fix the problem, then it probably time to replace it.
