How to Get a Photo Viewer like Windows on your MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro is a machine built with the intention of providing the maximum amount of ease of access. This entails a variety of applications and features which are available only in a MacBook and these make it a much better PC than a Windows one. However, there are certain features of a MacBook Pro which are not too user friendly. One of them is the photo viewer. If you a folder of photos and you double click on one it opens in a preview window. However, you can’t use this window to navigate across the various photos in that folder. This is very common in a Windows PC but the MacBook Pro can not do this.

Double clicking on each photo to view them can become a tedious task especially if you are dealing with a lot of them. But MacBook actually has another photo preview option which can be used to navigate across many photos just like in a Windows PC. Follow the steps below to learn how to use this feature:

Step 1
Create a folder with multiple photos in it.

Step 2
Select the first photo in the folder and instead of double clicking it, hit the space bar.

Step 3
The photo will open in the preview app, however this time the preview app will look slightly different.

Step 4
Now you can use the arrow keys to move across the photos within the preview app itself. Use the right and left arrow keys o\to move across a row and use the up and down arrow keys to move to the next or previous row.

And just like that your MacBook Pro photo preview app on will act just like the Windows one.
