How to get and use lucky eggs in Pokemon Go
Lucky eggs can give you a huge boost in leveling up, and are most often used while evolving and hatching eggs to get the most out of the experience boost they provide.
So how do you find these valuable items?
Step 1)Earn them by leveling up.
Every couple of levels you will receive a lucky egg for free just for reaching that level. You'll receive one for level 9, 10, 15, 2 of them at level 20, 25, 3 for level 30, 35, and a whooping 4 of them at level 40. Level 40 is currently the max level though, so I'm not sure what you would need them for at that point. Perhaps further levels are planned.
Step 2)Purchase them in the in game shop.
Need a little help getting to the higher levels, but don't have any lucky eggs? Then you can go into the in app shop and buy them for pokecoins! If you are willing to pay for it, you could have a lucky egg enabled any time you play and level up twice as fast as anyone else.
Step 3)How to use them.
These eggs are used to double any source of experience you receive for a half hour. In order to use them you can tap on the pokeball at the bottom of the screen, go into your items menu, and tap on the lucky egg to use it. The best time to use this would be just before you evolve a bunch of Pokemon for experience, and if you can work in a few eggs to be hatched during that half hour time, then that is also a bonus. Finally, a use for all those Pidgeys, Ratatas and Drowzee!
