Can’t get into boot in my Linux cp

What laptop do you have? The OS has no bearing on getting into the BIOS settings for your machine.

Usually during the boot-up process, there will be a window of opportunity where you can hit a function key (like F2, or F10. maybe even the DEL key) that will kick you into the BIOS settings.
