How to get sound on DVD surround sound when using Firestick

I have just fitted a Firestick to my Philips TV, and although the sound is working on the TV, I am unable to play the sound through my Philips DVD player which has surround sound speakers.

The equipment being used is
Philips TV 42PFL5604H/12
Philips DVD HTS 3377/12
Amazon Firestick

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You need a device like this which will extract audio from HDMI stream
FireStick -> "HDMI Audio Extractor" -> HDMI to TV, coax/optical to HTS
