how to hook a house stereo to my car ?

I need to know what I'm supposed to do with the power wire to make it work in my car. Its a kenwood audio receiver

You need an inverter.

Look and see how many watts your Kenwood receiver draws max. This should be on a label.

Then buy an inverter larger than this.

One thing to consider is that your home audio receiver is designed to power 8 ohm speakers (sometimes 6). Car stereo speakers are usually 4 ohm and sometimes 2. Is it worth the risk of damaging your receiver/speakers? A good car stereo is only about $100 these days.
