How to increase my laptop battery life in the long run?

I just bought my new lenovo g50-70 laptop and i know in the long term laptop battery has it,s life before it die.Any tips on how to increase my laptop battery life in the long run?
Lets say my battery is fully charged and i am using the laptop by plugging in the charger to the wall so it,s using the direct electricity supply not my laptop battery ?Will that increase my battery life in the long run if most of the time i use my laptop that way ?

Keeping the battery at a high percentage all the time is good for the battery. You can use less battery power by undervolting your laptop. That will wear the battery less.
