how to set galaxy note to its old settings without resetting to factory

I have erased some of galaxy note apps that i thought i will not using at all but id like to recover them now. How will i restore galaxy note to its old settings but will not have to hard reset?

You should be able to just go and download those apps again, no?

No Google play lists it as already installed.How do you get around this?
