That glistening new Macbook that you’ve been dreaming of is finally sitting on your desk. Now that you’ve spent the money, let’s move on to how you’re going to start using the new Macbook Pro 2018.

Here’s How to Set Up the Macbook Pro 2018?

Step 1. Connect 'Power Cable'
Take the machine out of the box, and don’t be too quick to throw that box just yet. It may prove useful so keep it somewhere safe. Attach the power cable to the mac and let it charge.

Step 2. Turn On and Follow Instructions
Keep the power button pressed to turn the computer on. Since it’s a new mac, it should launch a setup assistant. Follow the instructions on the screen and proceed.

Step 3. Choose 'Country', 'Language' and 'Connect to Internet'
Choose the country of your residence, and press 'Continue'. Next choose the language you’d like to use on your mac and then move forward. The next screen is for connecting to the internet. If you have a wireless connection, you should be able to connect to the Internet now. Enter the Wifi password to connect.

Step 4. Transfer Data if You Like, Otherwise Skip
Now the next screen on your Mac will give you the option to transfer data from your previous Mac to your brand new Macbook pro 2018. You can use the Migration Assistant app to do this. If you’ve backed your data on a hard drive using the Time Machine app, you can use that option instead. You can run this app whenever you like, so skip for now if you prefer.

Step 5. Create 'Apple ID'
You’ll be asked to turn on location services as well. This isn’t mandatory so skip if you want. After this is done, enter your apple id and password. If you don’t have one, you can create a new one. You’ll need to enter credit card details, but you’ll get access to the Find My Mac and Mac App Store as well so it’s well worth it.

Step 6. Agree to 'Terms and Conditions'
You’re at the last step now. Read the terms and conditions (skim through them at best) and click 'Agree'. And you’re all done!
