Solved! How to share PC sound system with 3 PC's

I use 3 PC's to drive a sophisticated flight simulator. Periodically I want to use the 2nd and 3rd PC with the sound system. I tried a simple 3-way splitter but I expect that because the cables are not shielded, lots of noise was present.

Can the commiunity recommend a reasonably economic solution? Do I need to have only one PC hooked up at a time (use a switch)? Or are there shielded splitters / cables that would solve the problem with all PC's connected to the stereo speakers simultaneously?

Keep things digital until it leaves the PC, meaning always use a Toslink connection, that's all I have to say.
